Established in March 1986, Yamazushi continues to be one of the Triangle's favorite Japanese restaurant. Independently owned and operated by George and Jennfier Yamazawa, Yamazushi has consistently been voted "Best Sushi in the Triangle."

Yamazushi strives to bring its customers an authentic Japanese culinary experience in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. From the moment the friendly and efficient staff greets you upon arrival, you are treated like an honored guest. Sit at the sushi bar and enjoy watching the expert preparation of your meal or you sit at one of the cozy booths and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Be sure to begin your dining experience with one of the House specialty appetizers, such as the famous grilled mussels or delicately steamed edamame.

If you're in the mood for sushi, try one of the nightly specials, the spicy tuna, or one of the local favorites, the "Duke" roll (fully cooked, this one's safe for beginners!) The sushi menu is unlimited, however, and the skilled chef will gladly prepare any special requests you may have.

For customers reluctant to try sushi or sashimi, Yamazushi offers everything from teriyaki to tempura. Most Yamazushi entrees are served with a delicious and fragrant miso soup and a fresh salad accompanied by secret House ginger dressing.

For your beverage, enjoy a piping hot cup of green tea or order from the extensive wine and beer list.
